Northern signs largest contract ever
Northern has signed a contract for increased uptake of its flagship product from a customer in the USA, representing Northern’s largest contract ever. In 2008 Northern was chosen to supply a solution for control, monitoring and management of storage resources. Implementation of the solution was started in the summer of 2008 and the customer has now chosen to upgrade and standardize on Northern Storage Suite throughout its organization.
“The aircraft manufacturer Boeing was previously our biggest customer but we are proud to say that this installation is four times as large, which proves that our solution is dimensioned to meet extreme capacity and performance requirements,” says Thomas Vernersson, President of Northern Parklife AB.
“It also proof of Northern’s professional strength in assisting customers with everything from pilot studies and installation to implementation and operating support. This will opens doors for major new orders and give potential customers greater confidence in choosing Northern as their supplier.”
Revenue from the final implementation will be recognized in the first half of 2009, while support and development revenue is recognized continuously.
“Since entering the U.S. market, Northern has garnered considerable success with Northern Storage Suite. The product is suitable for both large and small enterprises seeking to reduce their costs for management of enterprise storage resources, which gives Northern’s offering a strong position in a market that is increasingly focused on cost savings. We are pleased to note that our investments in Northern are paying off and see continued significant potential in Northern,” says Stefan Skarin, President and CEO of INTOI.
