Nocom sells Webcontrol to company’s management
The sale will have no effect on profit and the transfer of ownership will take place on January 1, 2007.
”In the past year Webcontrol has shifted its focus from pure distribution of a web analytics tool to a more service and consulting-oriented business,” says Stefan Ström, CEO of Nocom.
The company’s realignment has been made in response to a change in the supplier WebTrends’ global sales strategy during 2006.
”This move will enable us to concentrate on and continue investing in our fast-growing software business. IAR Systems and Northern are gaining an increasingly important role in the Group.”
Webcontrol is specialized in web analytics and helping businesses to optimize return on their marketing and Web investments. Alongside software from WebTrends, the company offers services such as analytical feasibility studies, technical implementations, performance monitoring and training. Webcontrol will continue to expand its offering of consulting services to meet customer expectations on delivery of total solutions.
”It’s exciting to have the opportunity to take over these operations, to continue focusing on web analytics and to retain our market-leading position in Sweden. Now we will have greater scope to broaden our service offering and satisfy the rising demands of both customers and suppliers,” says Tobias Svensson, manager of Webcontrol.
Nocom will defer a decisions regarding approval of the sale in accordance with the Act on Certain Directed Placements in Stock Market Companies etc. until Nocom’s Annual General Meeting on May 3, 2007.
