LogiMan to monitor quality of all SAS/Lufthansa Cargo shipments
Nocom's TradeVision signs contract with SAS Cargo LogiMan to monitor quality of all SAS/Lufthansa Cargo shipments TradeVision, a company in the Nocom Group, has been selected by SAS Cargo to implement its system, LogiMan providing automated quality monitoring of all airfreight shipments' movements on a real-time basis. Initially the order is worth approximately SEK 2 million annually. TradeVision LogiMan is a sophisticated, Internet-based logistics management solution, meeting all requirements defined by Cargo 2000. It builds on a customised database, continuously and automatically updated by messages, generated by all parties involved along the supply chain. "TradeVision LogiMan will survey all SAS and Lufthansa Cargo's export shipments out of Scandinavia", says Palle Jørgensen, SAS Lufthansa Cargo country manager Denmark. "In our markets, agents are increasingly booking their shipments electronically via TradeVision. This development is absolutely welcomed by the carriers, but it also requires us to implement systems to monitor our quality. LogiMan will certainly provide us with real time, automated warnings on any shipment deviating from the information provided by the booking. Thus, we can take prompt action, and inform our customers pro- actively whenever an irregularity occurs," says Palle Jørgensen. TradeVision LogiMan will initially be implemented with SAS Lufthansa Cargo Denmark, later to expand to Scandinavia, and, eventually, all markets covered by the airlines.
