Nocom delivers Oplayo to FöreningsSparbanken FöreningsSparbanken strengthens its intranet with multimedia solution Nocom has signed a contract with the Swedish banking group FöreningsSparbanken for an intranet solution incorporating streaming media, i.e. instant play of, for example, audio, video and presentations. FöreningsSparbanken has chosen Oplayo's market-leading software, characterized by its high degree of user friendliness. Oplayo, which is represented by Nocom in the Swedish market, is currently the only supplier able to provide technology for transmissions both to cell phones, as well as to personal computers via the Internet or e-mail. FöreningsSparbanken can now easily distribute rich-media presentations to all employees at geographically dispersed locations. A media player is included in the transmitted file, which enables video, for example, to be played instantly on computers or cell phones. In an initial phase, the bank has signed an intranet license contract for 10,000 users. The contract was preceded by an assessment of various streaming media solutions. It was primarily cost-efficiency and simplicity that led to the choice of Oplayo. Among other things, no investments in hardware are required; distribution is via standard web- servers.
