IAR KickStart Kit for STM32

IAR Systems and STMicroelectronics work tightly together, especially in support of STMicroelectronics new 8-bit STM8 microcontrollers and the 32-bit ARM based microcontrollers; full support for these feature-rich microcontrollers is provided by IAR Systems.

In cooperation with STMicroelectronics, IAR Systems also offers a range of IAR KickStart Kit products for STMicroelectronics ARM-based microcontrollers.

IAR Embedded Workbench for 8051 is also a perfect choice for developers using the STMicroelectronics uPSD microcontroller.

STM8 Family

STMicroelectronics' new 8-bit microcontroller platform is designed to offer outstanding levels of performance and cost-effectiveness in a wide range of applications. Implemented around a high-performance 8-bit core and a state-of-the-art set of peripherals, the STM8 platform is manufactured using an ST-proprietary 130nm embedded non-volatile memory technology.

STR7 family

The STR7 family of 32-bit microcontrollers offers the best of both 16 and 32-bit worlds. It combines the industry-standard ARM7TDMI® 32-bit RISC core, featuring high performance, very low power, and very dense code, with a comprehensive set of peripherals and ST's latest 0.18µ embedded Flash technology in the STR710 and STR730 ranges. The STR7 family comprises a wide range of devices fully loaded in generous packages or optimized in low pin-count packages.

The STR7 microcontrollers are aimed at customers who want the power and flexibility of a 32-bit microcontroller plus a rich set of on-chip peripherals. These small, highly integrated micro-controllers open the door to expanding application capabilities while driving down the total system cost.

This family targets embedded control applications such as industrial control, factory automation, point-of-sale, medical and testing equipment, as well as telecom and consumer applications.

SPEAr™ Net is a SoC based on ARM720T, richest of the most common connectivity IPs and with 8 KB of SRAM on-chip available to manage data flow between the internal AMBA Bus and the external static memory cuts or as a shared memory with an external processor through a dedicated interface.

As general purpose member of the family, it provides a SMART bridge between different interfaces and is ideal for entry-level consumer applications, industrial control and networking products, medical equipment and any other applications that require a proven ARM-based architecture and a full range operating temperature.

STR9 family

STMicroelectronics brings the power of an ARM9E™ processor core to the world of general purpose Flash microcontrollers, opening endless opportunities for embedded system designers by making networking and other demanding applications easy and affordable.

The STR910F family of MCUs delivers up to 96 MIPS peak performance while executing code directly from its Flash memory, executes single-cycle DSP instructions within its ARM966E-S® core, and includes Ethernet, USB, and CAN interfaces. These features, combined with Flash memory sizes reaching 544Kbytes and a vast 96Kbyte SRAM, make the STR910F an ideal single-chip solution to transform embedded control applications into low cost nodes on a local network, or on the Internet.
