Debugging can be difficult on complex applications. Fortunately modern 32-bit microcontrollers include features to increase debugger control and visibility of the application. We will explain the details behind modern 32-bit microcontroller debugging features like event trace and instruction trace. We will also demonstrate how a debugger can use these features to provide innovative visualization of events and correlated to application execution. Features like statistical profiling, interrupt graph and call stack graph will be used during the demonstration. We will also demonstrate power debugging for minimizing power consumption in low-power systems.
